No sport runs deeper in the hearts of Malaysians than badminton. From the Sidek brothers' golden era in the 1990s, through Lee Chong Wei's more than two decades of putting Malaysia on the world map, to the new generation of Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik continuing to make their mark on the global stage — badminton is far more than a sport to Malaysians. It is identity, pride and a shared spirit that unites us all from Perlis to Sabah.
BK8 Asia understands that passion and offers a badminton betting platform that truly matches it. Unlike other platforms that may only provide one or two basic markets, BK8 Asia carries over 80 market types for every top-level BWF match. That means you're not limited to simply predicting the winner — you can go further by wagering on set scores, point handicaps, the number of sets to be played, who wins the first set, and many more options that make the betting experience far more immersive and engaging.
In-play betting is one of the most popular features among BK8 Asia users. When you're watching a badminton match live — whether at home on TV, on your phone, or at a kopitiam with friends — you can place bets in real time based on exactly what you're seeing on screen. If you notice Lee Zii Jia hitting his stride while his opponent looks like he's running on fumes, you can immediately back him to win the next set at odds updated live by the BK8 Asia system.
The Thomas Cup is the most-bet tournament among Malaysian users on BK8 Asia — and for good reason. When Malaysia faces Indonesia or China in the Thomas Cup, the whole country holds its breath, and BK8 Asia gives you a way to make that excitement count by putting real money behind your national team. BK8 Asia covers every individual match within the Thomas Cup team format — five rubbers per tie, each with a full range of betting markets.
The Malaysia Open is a Super 1000-rated championship held annually at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil — one of the most prestigious badminton tournaments in the world. BK8 Asia has become the platform of choice for many Malaysian badminton fans looking to watch and bet on these matches, thanks to its comprehensive markets, fast odds updates, and an interface that remains easy to navigate even during live play. It's an experience you simply can't replicate at the stadium — you can watch, analyse, and bet all at once from the comfort of your own couch.
To help new players understand how badminton markets work, BK8 Asia provides a comprehensive market guide in Bahasa Melayu. The customer support team operates 24 hours a day and is ready to answer any questions — from how to read set handicaps to how parlay payouts are calculated. You don't have to feel lost when trying badminton betting for the first time; BK8 Asia makes sure every player can get started with confidence.
On the financial side, BK8 Asia supports all major local Malaysian payment methods. You can make deposits via Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, or through FPX with Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. Funds arrive in under a minute, so you can lock in the best odds before a match kicks off or right as the momentum shifts mid-game. The minimum deposit to start betting on badminton at BK8 Asia is RM 50.
BK8 Asia also provides comprehensive head-to-head statistics for every pair of competing players. You can review past head-to-head records, performance on specific surfaces, recent form over the last five matches, and a wide range of other statistical data to help you make more informed betting decisions. This data-driven approach is not a guarantee of winning — badminton remains a sport full of surprises — but it makes the analysis process more enjoyable and gives it a more professional feel.
The BK8 Asia VIP Rewards Programme extends to badminton betting as well. Every bet placed on a badminton match counts toward your daily sports rebate and VIP loyalty points. Gold and Diamond VIP members enjoy sports rebates of up to 1.2% of their total wagers — credited automatically every morning with no claims required. This means every time you bet on a Lee Zii Jia match or the Thomas Cup, you're not only in with a chance to win from the match result, but also steadily building up meaningful rebates throughout the badminton season.
In line with BK8 Asia's commitment to responsible gaming, we encourage all users to set their own daily or weekly betting limits. The BK8 Asia platform provides account management tools that let you set deposit and betting limits yourself — an effective way to keep your betting activity within healthy boundaries and ensure it doesn't interfere with your daily life. Sport is meant to be enjoyed, and BK8 Asia wants to make sure your experience stays positive every time.
Pay close attention to how players perform in the first set — in badminton, the player who takes the first set has a higher overall win rate compared to most other racket sports.
